If I have two Source London cards and accounts can I park for three hours on one, leave the Tesla in the space, disconnect, reconnect with the other card and then swap back for a third stint?

The car takes 20+ hours to charge but if I left it on the post all day and just popped out every three hours it would be ok.

the charging time is not your issue - the parking time is, and hence just like any car you would need to move your car after 4 hours (the common free p[arking period in elec bays). Additiona;ly future enhancements to source london appear to be bookable charging points and bays.

20 hours sounds a lot - is that using a bog standard 3-pin or a 7kw post?

Given that I was in westfield this week and of the 11 EV bays (not including the Tesla ones) there was an i3, and GWizz and nine non-EV cars in them so there was nowhere to put the Leaf i was driving, I hardly think an EV outstatying its welcome is the issue. The 20 hours was in a tesla which wouldn't have been an issue in Westfield.

Have Source London started limiting to 3 hours on their posts now?

This will explain why I didn't get a full charge at Heathrow T5 a couple of weeks ago, whereas a week or so before it charged it up fully.

Hmmm...

P.S. - The ICEing of the EV spaces in Westfield White City is really getting to be rather annoying, and I am only in a PHEV!

I've a Twizy for a week. The kids have already refused to go in it. I've been away so haven't tried it yet.

So far the only electric car I've driven which makes a case for itself is the Tesla.

Why would you need to charge for so long? That implies you are filling an 85kWh battery from empty to full on a 4kW or less chargers. So basically you talking Telsa. Much quicker to do it on a supercharger where it will be free and only take 30 minutes from empty to 80%. When you aren't near a supercharger, will you really be filling up, or just topping up from say a 30 mile drive across London? I'd imagine the only time you need a full 20 hour charge is after going on a ling trip where theres no faster charging option... ie the basic 3.7kW 13 amp socket. Even so theres now ecotricity chargers around the country that output upto 43kW for the 3 phase AC charge in a telsa, though i Think it can only manage 22kW.
