What happened to Fisker Karma CC ?
Discussion
All electric car with an engine to power up the batteries in the event of batteries getting too low.
Base electric range is 50 miles but then the engine kicks in and its in essence limitless range /fill up with petrol.
It looks stunning
0-60 just over 6 seconds
120mph
4 seater GT
Beats the Tesla IMHO
Price £86k
So why on earth do we not see any in the UK why is noone talking about it

Fisker Automotive, Inc. is an American automaker based in Anaheim, California. The company's first product was the Fisker Karma, one of the world's first production plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. It debuted at the 2008 North American International Auto Show, creating the premium green car segment in which most major manufacturers have since announced they would compete. Production was suspended in November 2012 due to financial difficulties,[9] with about 2,450 Karmas built since 2011.[10]
Fisker originally intended to sell the Karma in late 2009, but after repeated delays,[11][12] the Environmental Protection Agency certified the car’s vehicle emissions and drive range in October 2011,[13] and thereafter Fisker commenced delivery of production vehicles in the USA.[14]
Fisker stopped production in the summer of 2012, and was seeking new investment. Matters were further complicated by the bankruptcy of its battery supplier A123 Systems, the costs involved regarding a recall and repairs to customer cars, as well as the resignation of the company's co-founder and CEO, Henrik Fisker.[15] In addition to production stopping for over five months, with no date announced to recommence, the planned production of the second model, the Fisker Atlantic, was postponed, together with the cessation of development of the new model.[16]
Fisker eventually declared bankruptcy in November 2013, and in February 2014 the company was bought by Chinese auto-parts conglomerate Wanxiang Group.[17]

Fisker was a designer for BMW and Ford/Aston and founded Fisker Automotive. Unfortunately whist undoubtedly wealthy in his own right his pockets weren't deep enough.
Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal, was a key investor in Tesla, with vast wealth. Comparing the investment capabilities of Fisker v Musk is like comparing someone on benefits to a doctor on £120k pa.

How many children / crutches do they have? Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal, was a key investor in Tesla, with vast wealth. Comparing the investment capabilities of Fisker v Musk is like comparing someone on benefits to a doctor on £120k pa.
Also ^ shame about the chav numberplate. Probably got annoyed with everyone always asking what it is.
I know this is an old topic but I read some news that a Chinese company has bought over fisker for approx 150m and is going to relauch the product as is with minimal tweaks.
I really hope they do because I think its a fantastic looking car and for looks alone i would pick it over the Tesla.
Hell even if the company that purchased it stuck a V6 (petrol or dare I say diesel) in it (or V8) of some sort I am sure it would do well in the UK.
I really hope it comes to the Uk at some point, I would love to have one.
