Just driven leaf ampera and i3
Discussion
My thoughts
.i don't need 5 seats.
Leaf- too ordinary but comfortable over bumps.no wow factor.slow.dont like looks or name.
Ampera-looks good in white.price dropped to £24000 which is good.faster than leaf.looks futuristic inside.
I3 Rex .feels like a hot hatch.looks futuristic inside.a bit ugly but growing on me.very impressed with acceleration .expensive..deposit placed.need I say more.

Ruled out due to being slow.plus wife doesn't want her man driving a zoe.her words note mine.don't want battery lease either.
Battery lease makes financial sense for most as the car is 5k(ish) cheaper than the leaf. £70pm battery rental takes almost 6 years to match the 5k difference in price. The ZOE is lovely to drive too.
I mean it's a lot better drive, not necessarily a better car.
I've driven both and the Leaf to me drives really well. It's an extremely comfortable car with an excellent driving position and is very well built.
The cheaper Zoe felt less well built, not quite as comfortable, and the difference in power was very noticeable.
Not that the Zoe is a bad car, far from it, but it seems more suited to town driving whereas I live in the country and drive 30-40 at a go.
