hi folks,

I know this will come as a shock to the PH's on here but I'm seriously tempted to change my M135i for an Ampera. Whilst I love my bmw I have the one year itch and really fancy something totally different.

The fact that I could save almost £300 per month on fuel, pay no tax and much less insurance has also got me thinking. I could also drive to work in the city centre every day and park/charge the car for free as opposed to getting the train.

Combined with the fact that I love the looks of the ampera - particularly the front end - I think this could be a viable option for me. I'd probably change the alloys and tint the rear windows for aesthetic and functional purposes as well.

Looking at the Electron model, I see that Pentagon are selling new for £24550 with £27753 payable in total over the 3 year term. I plan to visit Arnold Clark to see what they can do as well but is the above a really good price already or could I do better?

Thanks,

Martin

Good luck with that.

Charging won't be free forever. Also, some parking spaces happened to have charging attached, whilst others are for charging only, so you vacate after you're done. The former will probably be charged like parking, the latter is akin to parking all day at a petrol station because you bought some fuel.
