Anybody know how to set the indicators to stay on - mine cut off after 3 flashes (most of the time ) but the alternative seems to be no repeat function and having to hold the indicator stalk when turning which I find annoying . Could not find the answer in the manual.

This bugged me on my test drive because I'd never driven a BMW before (they work a bit differently). When you push the stalk up/down you reach a resistance point, push past that and then release means that the indicator stays on even though the stalk returns back to centre. If you just want the three flashes, just push to the resistance point but don't go beyond it.

It's good when you get used to it.

Yup, like all german cars. The only thing i don't like is not easily being able to the do the quick single "left flash - > right flash" thing as a way of saying "thanks" to people who let you out of junctions etc

(not that anyone lets you out anywhere these days........ ;-)

Most bmw's have the quick tap for 3 flashes then hold the stalk up longer to turn the indicator on permanently (or until it cancels)

You can I think get rid of the 3 flash thing and go back to old school in the settings however you can't do the three flash thing then. I now use hazards as a thanks....
