I've just discovered (by accident) that holding the lock button down also folds in the mirrors.

Yes, that too. I was using it to wind the windows up when the mirrors folded in.

Press the lock button within 10 seconds of locking the car disables interior sensor and tilt sensor.
press the lock button when car is locked and charging, it will light up the charge socket area to show status also lights up dash and shows remaining time and range.

If you've got a lodge interior with cream mats, don't bother trying in vain to keep them clean, get your dealer to swap them for black ones that come in the standard and suite interior. Much better.

Wherever possible, avoiding using the horn. It's just plain embarrassing.

Pressing the open button twice will open the window half way down when you open the door. Supposed to help with access.

That reminds me... Don't press the unlock button twice by accident when it's raining...

If you want to keep your charging gear in the non-waterproof 'frunk', then one of these for less than a tenner is slightly cheaper than the BMW waterproof box solution. I've just received mine and it's perfect for the job.

Is anyone else tempted to put an extension lead in the frunk for the eventuality that the hotel (or wherever) that you are poncing 13a power from doesn't have one to hand. I'm going to (didn't realise that the frunk wasn't waterproof - top tip, thanks, will be careful)

Got my electrician to make up an extension lead !

Another tip, if you want to have access more stuff in connect drive and the connect drive app ( https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk )set up a security question.

What they say:

The security question is intended to protect your personal data and identify you uniquely in My BMW ConnectedDrive as well as to the BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Support. Before you can operate functions relevant to security, such as controlling your vehicle by means of the My BMW Remote app, you have to specify and answer a security question.

If my Frunk isn't waterproof, I won't use it ...

If it isn't, it will be more than a little surprising given all the technical hurdles that this car has overcome ...

I've just discovered the small tab on the inside of the charging flap, it's to hook the charge socket cover on when charging!

Bet you already knew that?

With the app, is there any way to send a point on the map to the satnav ? When I go to choose location it just brings up my contacts list to choose from but I can't see a way of selecting something else ?
