Excellent choice. I am tempted...

Dear Tesla fans,
I confirmed my order several days ago (see link to spec below) and spoke to Telsa today who said that I would be in the first batch of UK delivery cars at the end of May 2014.
What have you ordered and what is your expected delivery date?
Regards,
Adam

There are plenty on the roads around here (Amsterdam area). In NL you get big tax breaks as it is a low/no pollution car so despite the very high price, they are great value. There's often a candy red one parked in my work car park (nobody in my company unfortunately, there are many companies in the same building). Saw a white one today, gave him a thumbs up and at the next lights he gave it some welly. It disappeared off in total silence and very very quickly Look at the sales already in the Netherlands!

They look like lovely cars and if I was in any position to be choosing something new (I am so far from that position it's not even funny!) that would be very very high on my list.

seats and interior finish though are pretty poor for such a 'premium' car
This is what struck me just with a fairly quick look around/sit in.Audi, Porsche, BMW etc. have nothing to be worried about on this front yet. A 'quality' interior is definitely a big selling point in this part of the market.

How was the range ?
We did about 30 miles, and once back the helpful Tesla guy went through all the graphs etc, and based on my driving style, if I remember correctly, he said probably 220 miles or so.More than enough for my daily commute etc.
Once they get all the 'supercharging' stations up and running range shouldn't be an issue - its just the possible / probable chaos at the stations that could be interesting?
He pointed out that most hotels already have charge points so if I'm travelling around in the UK (or Europe for that matter)getting hooked up wouldn't be an issue - so that's ok whilst the car's are in their infancy; but if the take up is as quick as in Norway for instance, there could be arguments in the Holiday Inn car parks! It's bad enough sharing an iPhone charger in our house!
