Agreed, I'm replacing a Launch Edition of a Polestar 2, which again was heavily discounted to get them 'out there'. Problem I'm having now is that to get the equivalent Polestar its more than double the monthly cost, Ive already extended the lease by a year but now its time to change there's not many decent deals to be had, other than these i5s
I was in the same boat when my iPace lease was up, the cost of a new one would have been almost double what I already paid. In my case, the i4 M50 happened to be a decent bargain at the time so I went with that.

My conclusion is that there are nearly always spectacularly good lease deals to be had on some great cars, but not always the ideal car, or at least the one you're initially drawn to. I've kind of made peace with that as it has led to me having a variety of different cars over the years, most that have exceeded my expectations in a few ways.
Yeah, I really wanted to stick with Polestar as I love the car and the new Polestar 4 looks great, but its over £1,000 to order one of those for August delivery.
My friend has a polestar 2 and likes my i4 very much - not sure if that helps! Fwiw I think the i4/i5 are both very smart looking on the inside and have really, really well integrated useful tech. A step up from the Polestar 2 as a place to sit and car to drive.

Not really sure about the Polestar 4 from a drivers perspective, but I'd say the BMW interior is still more premium looking to my eye.

Can you arrange an i5 M60 test drive? Seems like that's the only way to move ahead with any confidence - and to work out if the car itself has enough appeal if you imagine what the 40 would feel like with about 300hp less than the M60..

Yeah I think I might go and test drive one, my worry is the size of the i5 the Polestar is quite compact , I wish someone did a decent small electric coupe as I don't really need a big car.

As its a lease through the business I should just go with the best deal and not be so fussy :-)

Apologies for the dormant thread reboot, but I wanted to ask the OP how you were getting on with the car?

How is the range etc?

A lot of the YouTube action to do with the Touring is all based on the M60.

I have an i5 touring coming in a few months - in a similar situation, I can't charge it at home, but can do 'destination' charging relatively cheaply in places.

I specifically wanted to ask how you were getting on with the HK system?

It has a serious drop in wattage compared to other BMW HK systems but the B&W adds on a disproportionate amount of money to my sal sac cost, but again all the press/youtube cars have the B&W.
