It’s not quite Siri or Alexa, but the voice commands can do a lot of useful stuff.
The fear of touchscreens isn’t very robust given how hard it can be to find one individual crappy little button amongst the huge number on many modern cars.

What???

That's just insane!!!

You have to use a touch screen to turn the wipers on?!? And people actually buy this??? rofl
That's bks, you push the end of indicator stalk, but they are usually on auto so you don't need to do anything.

I have the left scrollwheel set to open the glovebox, so I don't have to use the touch screen for that either.
Can you choose a different function for the indicator button? If so, it probably makes sense to in Texas.
That’s what he said - it could be programmed to the wipers, but wasn’t. TBF, he hadn’t had the car long. But, when we were there it was quite stormy and rained a lot, and he was turning the wipers on and off via the touchscreen, and frankly it looked bloody awkward. Non-story to some, but I saw it being done that way with my own eyes.

Have you mentioned the EV9? Saw my first one on the road a few days ago and looks much better than the pictures.
I'm definitely going to take a look at one. I'm slightly concerned it might be a bit too massive though!
Saw one last year at an IONITY station in Croatia. Our Ioniq 5 looked like the original mini parked next to it. smile

The fellow driving it (a journalist or someone working for Hyundai/KIA in Croatia?) said he liked it. I assume it feels like it shrinks around you a bit since one of his points of comparison was driving an Ioniq 6 to Norway and back...

A couple of things to be aware of if you’re considering a Enyaq:

There’s a brand new model coming out next year
Lead times can be long. I ordered mine though Zenith in March, delivery is quoted as being ‘Early November’

I figure there's new models of everything coming out all the time, so no point worrying about that. smile

Man maths also says if I have a few months to wait after the current car goes back I can just add up the "savings", divide by 48 and add that on to the monthly budget for the new car. biggrin

One of my final straws with the Model S was coming out to it one morning after a software update and finding they’d moved the heating controls around. I’d got used to resting the heel of my hand on the lower edge of the screen and adjusting temp, seat heat etc in relative safety. Until then anyway. Genius.
