It's not 2019. Chademo is dead. No one uses it, some networks don't even have the plug on their charge stations.

Type 2 is your standard AC charging at home/destination. Only Renault really pushed the higher power 43kW Type 2 AC charging. More cars can charge at 11kW on three phase, but mainly useful in France.

The standard for all EVs is Europe has been Type 2 for ac charging and CCS for dc charging. They are built in to one port. It is the agreed standard going forward, so no need to worry about the future.

The standard in the EU isn't actually applied to the cars but instead to the public chargers.
