Thought I would take a moment to update this.
First off, car is immense. It is no effortlessly driveable, I'm not sure of the iPace is just excellent or it is more indicative of EV's in general, but I am really enjoying the driving experience.
The thing I find almost the most odd is that the car suggests a higher range in Dynamic than in Comfort (and equal that of Eco), so... do folk just drive it in Dynamic? Surely that is nonsense, the throttle sensitivity in Dynamic is incredible, it can't be the most efficient way of getting about.
Now, this windscreen. I've read in to this and it seems the common check is to push your fingers from the inside to see if there is any movement in the screen; there isn't any that I can feel.
I am religiously checking the interior for any dampness and it's all okay in that regard. However, it does just seem to mist up in normal driving, but clears up instantly when the AC is turned on. We've tended to just leave it on now, and no issues at all, not sure if that is the normal user experience or not.
As for the Charger install. Well, i won't go as far as to say avoid the Arnold Clark & Bumblebee EV Charger offer however, there is clearly a bit of a disconnect between those two organisations and neither seems particularly rushed to do.. well, anything, frankly.
Bumblebee have until a week today to meet their 14 Day obligation, so we'll see, but I am not hopeful.
If I've read t'internet correctly, the windscreen de-bonding was only on a certain batch of cars. I'd say the misting without AC on is pretty normal, especially at this time of year. "well, anything, frankly" - thank did make me chuckle, sadly - hope they pull their fingers out soon!First off, car is immense. It's a superb vehicle. Almost adds to the excitement that a manifestation of one of a myriad of internet doom posts could come to fruition at any moment

Sounds like the windscreen is probably OK i you've checked for movement and it hasn't got any worse - which it would have done given how much rain we've had..
I always used to leave AC on and set to 21c - set and forget, whatever the impact on range. As such I can't comment on how usual misting is without it being on, although I would expect some mist in damper and cooler weather with zero AC.
I too noticed no difference between eco, comfort or dynamic in efficiency terms, assuming you drive the same. Eco nocks the power of the AC back I think but probably negligible. The reason I used to change between modes was that comfort was literally 'more comfortable' with adaptive dampers, and unless I wanted to drive quickly dynamic was too keen to lurch forward at junctions etc.
The iPace is definitely one of the best drivers EV's and all round EV car packages in terms of ability and go anywhere practicality and luxury. They got it right.
The more range on dynamic seems to be a quirk of the pre facelift cars in InControl Touch Pro rather than later Pivi pro ones. Just ignore it.
It’s a bit like an XE compared to an A4. Jaguar design and tune the chassis for a more engaging drive. The normal active noise is about spot on in my view for a hint of feedback that gives the car a whisp of character that many EVs lack.

These are looking like incredible value now, nearly suspiciously cheap, is there a catch? Really tempted to go for a low mileage used one in the new year.
No catch other than it's a JLR product so... Keep it warranty They are stupidly good value for a very fast, luxury, go anywhere SUV!
I highly recommend one.
Sadly it appears, with ours at least, there is a catch!
Battery fault on the dash currently, says its okay to drive but charging is restricted to 72% and can't get it on to the Dealership until Mid-February for a diagnostic. Should be covered under the Warranty so hopefully more just an irritant than a financial disaster.
However, with that said, the car is immense, it is an absolutely joy to drive and don't regret buying it one iota, just hope Jaguar can put it right promptly so I can get back to really enjoying it fully again.

Sadly most owners of this H441 recall are without the car for months............

So are we saying that the Jag is too risky a purchase unless you have a decent Jag dealer close by? Obviously I wouldn’t buy one without a JLR warranty but they are just so cheap at the moment, they are hard to ignore.
Does anyone know if you buy one from a non-jag dealer and it’s already out of warranty, will JLR let you buy their extended warranty?

And why you only buy a Jag if you’ve a decent dealer. Sadly where I live we have 2 crap ones hence no Jag option
Anyone know if Jaguar Tonbridge are any good? Whatever it is the service has been terrible, as is staff knowledge of what standard kit is etc. none of it really took away from the joy of the car itself, but it was... Irritating.
Frankly I'd say deal with it, cross your fingers and hope dealer interaction will be minimal - but the car itself is worth it.

What year / how can I tell if it’s an improved iPace - the wife had noticed them after we agreed Etron.
2021 is meant to be the best year. Post facelift and just before they stopped limiting equipment due to the chip shortgage.Deadlysub said:
I’m so close to pressing the button on one.
Couldn't help but check your profile garage. I can tell you first hand it'll embarrass the m135i all day long Obviously you'll have to make peace with being sat in a luxury cabin whilst driving the fastest car you've ever owned...
It's a tough decision!

The only thing putting me off is the potential issues and the occasional hassle on long journeys.
