Urgh, do all GT Lines have leather seats? Yuck. What is the obsession people have thinking leather is luxurious and premium? It's awful - hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and smells dreadful. Velour is the best seat material ever invented, but nobody wants it. Perverse.

It's only 'leather' on the sides. The middle sections are some kind of recycled material IIRC. The 'leather' wears better and looks better IMO.

Ahh, thanks, that's not so bad then.

Play, Iconic, S-Edition, Gt-Line, when the ADAS camera was removed the range became Iconic, SE-Edition, Gt-Line +.

All bar Play have sat nav, CCS became standard on Gt-Line +, optional on Iconic S/SE-Edition and Gt-Line. 110 on Iconic 110/135 on S/SE-Edition, 135 Gt-Line and Gt-Line +.

About this time last year the range as re-jigged yet again, specification names were changed to "allign with the rest of Europe" Techno with optional CCS (I think all 135), Iconic became top spec with standard CCS and 135 motor. Where it gets more pointless and "why the fk did they do that" core equipment level on both Techno and Iconic were identical, only differences being, CCS standard on GT-Line, larger and darker alloys and weird gold detailing, apart from that, no differences.

Dealers pleaded for 1 high spec ZOE to simplify things, good offers and pricing, of course what did we know!

There are likely to be other minor changes along the line but the above pretty much covers it, I think the ADAS radar reappeared at some point but the naming remained as if they didn't have it, go figure.

Ref if a car has CCS or not, if you can get a look at the charging port, whether a photo or physically, if the CCS bit at the bottom has two "++" moulded into the cover, it doesn't have CCS charging.

What year did the battery lease get dropped? I think a non lease one could be my next car very soon.

2019 was the very last of the battery rental cars. All facelift models from 2020 onwards were battery ownership cars, they’re better spec and better battery/motor as well so worth spending the extra money on.

Had enough of the Clio?

See if you can find a 2020 GT line R135 with winter pack/BOSE pack. That’s a good VFM buy.

I remember an older guy and his wife ordering a Gt-Line, he asked my advice on options, I said a winter pack (heated seats and steering wheel) was a definate so he went ahead with the car and Winter Pack, I only realised on handover day it was ordered without the Winter Pack, he never noticed!

One of my colleagues also went through a phase, when CCS was an option across all specs, of charging for CCS on a CCS equipped car.

Im just getting to grips with the Clio, but thats the point, after 25 years of driving every type of car possible it shouldnt take 6 months to get to grips with a small french hatchback!

Also with the incoming gov probably likely to have a go at ice vehicles, thinking it might might be wise to go electric later this year whilst I have some decent value in the Clio, and (engine apart) the Clio is a nice place to be, so I imagine the zoe aint a lot different.

There are lots of battery owned cars out there now that used to be lease - some dealers won’t take them in part ex unless you buy out the battery.

Not too fussed on spec, I do prefer the GT LINE for looks and the darker interior though. All I really want is a DAB radio, electric windows, aircon and remote locking.

I would recommend heated seats too if you are likely to be using it near the limit of its range. It’s more efficient to heat you directly than heating the air in the car.

+1 to that - makes a big difference in winter (or if your back is playing up). Found the heated steering wheel on mine was nice for the first few minutes then got a bit too hot, but by then you could turn it off and it would retain the heat long enough.

Have any ZE50 owners had to change the cigarette lighter fuse? Had a look last night and if i'm reading the fusebox cover correctly, the fuse is tucked away on the left hand side of the fuse box and is inaccessible without removing the glove box surround?
