Looks to be a tour de force with some interesting additions like the hydraulic steering and move away from the traditional Mclaren doors.

Stunning design although a lot Lykan.

I've just noticed they've emailed a load of info.

I really like the look of this and it's certainly going to hold it's value but it doesn't do enough different for a 2 million price tag I don't think.
I have a 750S and this is half a second quicker over a quarter mile and point one quicker to 60. I know it's not all about performance and the people ordering it wont be concerned about that but I'd want something with a bigger jump up than that for the money. The 0 - 200kmh is pretty impressive though.

Did you expect a 1 litre 9 cylinder engine fitted to a chassis derived from a Reliant Robin?

Jeesk.

Indeed, the more I now think about that the more I am tempted to create it.

Is that like Ferrari using the same old V12, or Porsche using the same old flat 6?

Well it is a n/a V12 that sounds amazing, so I hope they continue to do so. Not saying the McLaren engine is not special, but I’d much rather have a V12 than this.

Ferrari ‘hypercars’ tend to be the only ones with a mid engined v12, CGT has a V10, 918 has a v8.
W1 is a mid engined 4l v8, basically the same as all their cars bar the artura. Hope for McLaren they sell them all
But IMO they have done nothing to move the game on.

Love the way that rear spoiler moves out.

I very much like it but that’s a different playing field.

All 399 cars are already sold.

Any guess what the P1 will cost nowadays? Battery is a fat bill …

Looks fantastic, especially the active aero.

But I do wish they (and others) stop trying to make the acceleration stats sound like they are “remarkable” in this electric day-and-age. My four-door daily does 0-124 mph in ~6 sec too.

Unfortunately power to weight is no longer as relevant for acceleration when comparing to a BEV’s jerk (rate of a change of acceleration), though it certainly will be for track performance.

All sold.

1258hp and under 1400kgs for a hybrid.......where have they not moved the game on exactly?

Jeez, Lotus havent even got under that weight with the Emira and 400hp

That is a crazy stat when you put the emira as a reference point.

Well at least it will be comfortable enough to drive on the road with or w/o a companion, unlike the Valkyrie or AMG1. If the aero does what it advertises, should have no problems keeping up with them on track.
