Taking a 720 home
Discussion
I've just spent a week in Scotland, the highlight of which was to recreate the Carfection Video "McLaren, The Home Run".
YouTube link.
Some wonderful and fun roads and a lovely little spot to finish up in. Best of all getting to gel with the 720. I already knew I loved this car after a trip to France. It's seemingly brilliant at everything and so comfortable. And then pop it into sport and way hey.
I've had her since November and just done 4000 wonderful miles so far. Originally I was going to keep her for a few years and settle back with my Ferrari. But I think that plan is changing, I love this car so much. I'd prefer a little less attention, but it's a price worth paying.

Snap, got my 720 in November and just over 4000 miles later its the best thing ever, I use it all time I have time. NC500 booked for next year.
The attention has all been appreciating the machine and I've lost count of the number of people who've had a sit in it. One chap asked if I could take his son to prom, which was an honour for me and memory for him.
Love the silver wheels by the way, that's next on my to do list.

I am a huge fan of silver wheels. I’ve really gone off black ones. The attention has all been appreciating the machine and I've lost count of the number of people who've had a sit in it. One chap asked if I could take his son to prom, which was an honour for me and memory for him.

I love these wheels, but there does seem to be be an almost set of McLaren wheel designs.

Love it, nice one.
Interesting that it gets more attention than the 458
It took me a while to realise that the people flashing loved the 458, that is totally bonkers.Interesting that it gets more attention than the 458
But reaction to the 720 is off the scale. Personally I hate the attention, I bought the car for me. But it is la la some of the reactions.
But then I'm old. I never saw a Porsche until the late 80s early 90s when I worked in that London. These days you see all kinds of stuff around. But still the reaction to the 720 is often a little scream.
