570S paint bubbling and warranty

Hi I have a 2019 570S (convertible)
at the recent service they noticed some small paint bubbling on the horizontal piece of trim behind the drivers door.
I asked for this to be resolved under warranty as this was just inside the 5 years since car first registered.
The warranty have responded that this 'part' only comes with a 3 year warranty.
There is nothing in the warranty documentation that differentiates between different parts - just that paint blemish is 3 years and for cosmetic corrosion (cosmetic corrosion is defined as light oxidisation of the surface finish of components) 5 years, which is what I believe it is having seen and read much of Mc paint issues over the last few years.
The piece on the passenger side is also starting to bubble.
They want a grand to resolve - the part is removable - on only 30cm long of which 15cm has the issue.
Any thoughts / help ?
