Currently have eyes on a couple of 570s one of which I'm tempted to purchase shortly. One is a fairly safe bet as its at Mclaren, and will come with 12m warranty.

The other is at a specialist car dealer, has 6 stamps all at McLaren (last 4 leeds). (Not at Alaister Bols for info)
The 6th service was a decent bill, and I've a copy of the inspection report done as part of that service.
There are a couple of minor advisories noted that concern me
Front LTR coolant pipes slightly damp - no action noted yet
Charcoal canister due - declined work

I understand the charcoal canister role and that it's quite involved changing it perhaps on a 570?

Anyway the main question is does anyone do mobile PPI or would I have to potentially get the car to Thorney or V engineering perhaps?

I suspect to get a McLaren warranty I'd have to talk to McLaren Leeds about them doing a full inspection and rectifying anything before they'd warranty it?
I don't think its currently within a Mclaren warranty and am going to check that out as it isn't on SOR.

Obviously the easiest answer I suspect is pay more and buy direct from Mclaren but this particular car is a high spec/Muriwai/carbon. 23k miles and I've driven it, other than the above questions it's stunning and drives really well.

Can not help with this but before buying this 570 perhaps think about making a cheeky offer for the green 650s coupe at Thorney. Its to die for and the specification is wonderful. Thorney would not be selling it unless its a good one and 650s coupe a surprisingly rare car wink

Yea you are right about it will have been gone through thoroughly and I wouldn't have any concerns buying through Thorney.

Its overpriced but at £85k which is the right money for it I think its the one I would go for. Having said that just looked at their website and they have two mint condition Silica 570GT and super high spec Volcano Red 570S. Nice problem to have I'd be chasing my tail as their silver 650S Spider gorgeous too but the 650 S coupe the rare one hence should always have very strong residuals especially with such a high spec smile

Even though they’re sale or return cars, I’m not sure they’ll take a bid of £10K under asking…. Worth a try, though

I read somewhere its been for sale for a long time that green one as was a press car which always puts most buyers off. Wouldn't bother me as those press cars are very looked after. Only thing against it is mileage is a little high. I know it sounds mad but 32000 miles is regarded as high mileage nowadays which is preposterous but thats what high end trade dealers advise.

Agreed!
My own thoughts are mileage isn't a concern if the right person has inspected it such as Thorney but am not aware of anyone up here who does McLaren inspection other than the main dealers anyway.
I'm not actually a fan of that 650s in green, the volcano red looks more appealing tbh, maybe worth an enquiry if the 570S search comes to nought
