It is not good, but all the supercar brands certainly have issues as this year alone there has been pictures of Porsches, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's and many Tesla's on fire and burnt to a crisp.
It is a shame as the Artura is one of the very best driving super cars on the market today, but lets hope they keep selling and in 2-3yr they can be had for around 120k, be an absolute bargain for a crazy fast car that can return 40+ mpg with a 10yr corrosion warranty, 7yr battery and 5yr overall warranty.

Assuming it hasn't caught fire before the warranties expire It is a shame as the Artura is one of the very best driving super cars on the market today, but lets hope they keep selling and in 2-3yr they can be had for around 120k, be an absolute bargain for a crazy fast car that can return 40+ mpg with a 10yr corrosion warranty, 7yr battery and 5yr overall warranty.

Not good especially as the launch was apparently delayed to resolve electric issues journalists saw on the early test drives.
But lets not forget, Mac's aren't the only card that catch fire although don't let facts get in the way of a good beating....
Do EV's or hybrids catch fire more often though? When they do it seems it can't be easily extinguished so another "problem".But lets not forget, Mac's aren't the only card that catch fire although don't let facts get in the way of a good beating....

Loafs of EV cars are catching fire TBH.
And boy do they go bang when they do
Nonsense - read Daily Mail and Sun much?And boy do they go bang when they do
Think! - chances of your phone charging on your nightstand vs. the can of petrol in your garage….which one is more likely to “go bang”?

So much Daily Express Physics diploma people out there knocking anything with a lithium based battery (other than the device they are typing from - obvs
)
This is the fact on EV's catching fires in EV keen Norway - far less than ICE (per 100,000 pro rata) - although obvs the fires are far nastier and so require a blanket and a taxi!
How can I cc Daily Mail & Express?

Facts I've seen are pro rata - or they are useless - so per 100,000 of each vehicle - like this one from a huge US insurer where they have lots of older Californian cars and it is also more likely that a fuel pipe will leak on a 10yr old car than a 6 month old one... Just looking for truth.

It would be more accurate still if the stat was per km driven and the population sample was controlled for the age of the vehicle.

It's all relative. There are a lot more petrol cars currently in circulation than EVs so yes of course there are more fires on older petrol cars v newer EVs.
Interesting - the fact that you didn’t immediately recognize that the graph was per 100k cars is damning. Another data point in my experience that the non-EV lobby suffers cognitive challenges.Gassing Station | McLaren | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
