It’s that time. Plus I’ve picked a puncture. Currently on trofeo’s which are awful on the road. Considering Michelin 4s not cup2’s. Wondering what any one else has done, or stuck with Pirelli’s. My doubt is over sizes and matching compounds as don’t seem to be able to get matching spec front and rear with 4s. Car is used on fast road, stty uk roads and of course a cooler climate. Not intending to track have other toys for that.

There is a brand new 5S out now too. Otherwise go Cup 2. Not too bad in the wet actually.

The new Continental Sport Contact 7 is available in your sizes I think, this is the new champion in this sector according to most tests I have a set ready to go on my 800hp GT2 which has ridden through a few sets of PS4S, the Conti SC7 seems to beat it in most metrics

It will be interesting what you think of the new SC 7 vs P4S on your GT2.

Pretty sure you won’t find a set of cup 2’s in stock sizes, I spent many hours chasing around looking as I wanted a new set of track tyres, I doubt they will be much of an improvement from what you have over the next 6 months anyway.

Have literally ( last week) put a set of PS4S on, very early days but initial impressions are the car feels a lot more stable when pushing on a bit on a typical B road, up to temp way quicker also. Always found the ‘R’ quite fidgety when the pace picked up a bit.

I had Trofeos for 15 months. Loved them on track and on warm/hot dry days on road. All other days I struggled to get heat into the fronts.

So I just switched to Corsas, which are much better for road use. Mostly still warm and dry driving though. Less feel in steering and less grip.

Considered MPS4S, but can't live the greatly reduced steering feel with those. And they have much less grip in warm+dry conditions. Better suited to all year use.

I'm not a fan of normal PZero.
