I have been trying to get my 720S Spider in fault diagnosis now for three weeks - keeps flashing up 'gearbox fault' and going into Limp home mode.

Every time I try and call the phone goes unanswered, and they never reply to voicemails.

I'm on the verge of just driving over to see if the lights are still on.....

Assuming I’m getting the right dealer, Damian has left and replaced by a guy called Luke.

I hear Luke is a vast improvement so surprising to read this…. if I have the right dealer.

Totally out of order regardless of who's there. Tell client services and go elsewhere.

Luke has been good in the short term I’ve been in discussions; couple of times I’ve had to leave messages, but otherwise he’s been okay.

Not sure whereabouts you're from but Ascot and London have a service centre in Sevenoaks. It's on the same site as the Aston service centre and is seperate to the Aston showroom in the town.

David, the main tech there is really very good.

Managed to get through in the end, but only by calling sales at East Horsley, and getting them to email service for them to call me.

Car is now booked in for Monday.

I've got a loan car booked so hopefully they won't be inclined to hang on to the McLaren for too long.

What has it got to do with Client Services?

Had mine serviced and MOT’d there last week, collected and delivered back on the covered trailer all within four days.
Luke was good to deal with, phones were busy but called me straight back after I phoned and left a message. Prices were very fair IMO, helped with the MOC discount.
Clearly it’s hit and miss with all dealers but thought I’d share to confirm that they can get it right too.

Dropped off yesterday, all was okay... clearly they've a lot of issues in the wake of Damian leaving - which is seems was very sudden...

I'm in the 72 plate Subaru Outback - I don't think I've had such a big practical car on the drive in a long time laugh Fantastic level of kit in it too, was surprised to see its only £40k!

I gave Luke a bit of a list of things to look at on the 720S, so they'll probably have it for a couple of days.

It's fine... it's clean and reliable transport which is all that matters. They used to run a couple of Evoras but I think they're now getting on a bit.
