600LT recall (US)

All models of the 600LT have been recalled here in the US due to risk of fire. Is this being done in UK also?

Interesting it only applies to the LT and not the other Sports Series cars. Did the LT use a different design / parts?

The article linked below states the total number of 600LT’s in the US, which if accurate, is an interesting data point.

I've just been informed that mine's likely to be recalled in September.

Initially it seemed the recall would be for cars built between certain dates. My dealer has now confirmed that ALL 600LT's will be recalled to have an updated joint fitted to the coolant system. The process for UK cars is likely to begin in September.

I'm in the UK and mine's going in next week. The job will take around 7 hours. Has anyone already had it done in the UK, if so were there any issues with the process ?

Mine is also going in for recall next week. Dealer has advised that job is to replace all top of engine coolant hoses.

Collecting mine today from McAscot after 3rd service and having recall work completed. No issues reported, we'll see how it goes on the 160 miles home!

Good service from Leeds. Mine collected on closed transporter on Monday, email yesterday to say all done. no issues and being returned tomorrow.

They did say an official mclaren/DVLA letter will be following in the post.
