Global premiere is scheduled for a few hours

Anyone excited and have a deposit down? Indicative pricing and delivery dates?

I'm personally looking forward to picking up a cut price 720 when these start getting delivered

Not sure it will as its essentially a facelift isn't it.
A touch more power a little lighter and slight cosmetic changes in and out. The last none Hybrid perhaps?

Are you suggesting the exhaust looks a bit like an anus? I don’t think it does but, if so, I’m sure the focus groups must have driven the design towards the rectal

Nope, but I see what you mean, it looks a bit piggy to me...

Given that the 'eye socket' headlight design is one of the most unpopular/controversial features of the 720S, one would think it would be an obvious opportunity to address in a facelift.

Ive not heard that before, i think they are fantastic and glad they have kept them, its what distinguishes it as a 720s, unlike the yawn and predicatble every mclaren looks the same comments already trotted out above.

The leaks are doing the rounds (and I don’t mean the fappening)

Body-coloured bits vs the 720’s carbon / flat black bits… I think the 720 looks nicer

You mean one of the best bits of the whole car? I absolutely bloody love the headlight design and I'm glad they're keeping it.

The eye sockets are not just visual, they are functional as they are important part of the car’s aero package.

Generally when a firm puts out a press release defending an aspect of its new car's styling, it suggests it's not been met with universal acclaim

Some people like them, some people don't. By changing the look for the facelift they could appeal to potential buyers in both camps (since the former can always buy, or have already bought, the original car).

Actually just making the socket body colour, even as an option, would go a long way I think (and would avoid needing to relocate the air inlet).

Probably largely to do with the many decades of production building a huge customer base relatively speaking
