Google Maps, Bluetooth, Iris

When using Google maps or Waze on the iphone and the phone is connected to Iris via Bluetooth, the nav instructions coming through Iris always comes through very loud, at least that's what I've found. I can turn the sound down with the dial but the next message from Google maps comes through at full volume again.

It doesn't matter how many times I change the volume in the Iris settings, it just reverts to 20 every time. Anybody found the same? Anybody found a work around? Thanks.

Have you tried turning volume down during an announcement ?

I don't see this on mine.
I play music and use navigation from the phone, and it comes through IRIS at wherever volume I've set the phone / IRIS to. If I turn IRIS up it gets louder, if I turn it down it gets (and stays) quieter

Yes I've tried that too.

I wonder what you're doing differently (or what I'm doing differently)
Normal phone calls are okay.

When the navigation is making announcements it comes through like a phone call, my telephone number shows on the Iris screen.

I asked Mclaren about it when it was in for it's last service, it happened with them too and they couldn't offer a fix.

It happened in the 570 as well so it's not specific to my current 600.

The same here when navigation announcement are made comes as phone call showing my number but adjusting volume during announcements sets the sound level permanently.
