Might be a half decent project for someone with a bit of spannering ability...

My old car.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185762988292?mkcid=16&a...
The description is incorrect in a number of places.
The photos do not show the whole picture - for example, the passenger door skin lifts away because the bottom was ripped off. Pretty much all panels have damage, rear wings are cracked near the rear lights.
It lost all coolant - wonder how much engine has run since then.
I'm surprised it was written off from the advert.
But I fully expected it to be written off when the insurance collected it.
I'd be surprised if it worked out cheaper than buying a non crashed one. It needs virtually every panel repaired or replaced and a full repaint, apart from other mechanical damage. (And the 'undamaged' front wings did have damage, and the driver one has a 50p size paint bubbling problem).

What was the nature of the incident. Was it a light shunt into the car infront, or something more substantial? The description is incorrect in a number of places.

A proper repaint for a Volcano colour is £15k for starters isn’t it?
Add in the parts required plus the uncertainty of any engine damage from having lost coolant while running and this seems an insane price.
Even at £30k you’d have to be brave when you can buy an uncrashed one for £90k

Before I read your post I was about to say we aren't getting the full story about that car. It wouldn't be written off for the extent of the seller's description. The description is incorrect in a number of places.

Bought from the insurer, has most of the parts to carry out the easy repairs, but they aren't finishing the easy job?
I suspect they know more than they are letting on.
