That's the one discussed on the podcast which one of the contributors previously owned. They were most specifically tipping cars like this one, "CSL" spec - a Coupe with the roof Scoop and front wing Louvres - to appreciate.
Personally I'd have a 675LT Spider if I had that sort of money, in a nice bright colour to highlight the carbon bits.

Can't speak for 12c, but the 650 spider is an amazing piece of kit.
They are about 90% similiar. 650 front end
Stiffer springs on 650s
650 bhp vs 613 bhp
I think that is it.
As per video, I do think that with most journo's there is too much emphasis on drifting etc. Not sure where the 12c or 650 lose out to a 458 when even TG had to admit that the 12c was a huge 2.8 sec quicker than the 458 and even 2.9 quicker than the 'Enzo' and Veyron SS from memory. Nice that CH is a fan of McLaren and his video of the pre-launch 12c helped with my decision to actually get one. Back on topic (ish) Would I have a 675lt? Phuck yes! Still the pinnacle in my eyes but until my numbers come up there is little chance so I will have to settle for my lowly genesis 12c. What a bummer.

The 675 is a very special car.
I used to get fed up with Bispal always posting how good the 675 was; when I got one I fully understood.
Thanks for the heads up Bispal.
I don't know if that's a compliment, or not, but will take it anyway I used to get fed up with Bispal always posting how good the 675 was; when I got one I fully understood.

Technical changes made for the 650S, from the vid:
40% more downforce
Accumulators mounted higher up nearer the dampers for quicker response
22% / 37% stiffer spring rates F/R
Damper valving changes (stiffer)
Suspension top mount changed for better impact refinement
Lighter wheels
Ceramic brakes now standard & improved pedal modulation
Engine 13% more torque as well as more power (pistons, heads, valves, timing, exhaust different)
Gearbox calibration, quicker shifts via inertia push & cylinder cut
Chris' conclusion however is that it adds up to an incremental change over a 12C, not a whole new experience.

Yes all well and good, but what will the average man notice on the road?40% more downforce

I owned them back to back, a week apart
Apart from the extra Torque of the 650 that gave it more of a warp factor sensation, they basically drive the same to me on the road.
10/10’s on a track I am sure the changes to the 650 will show up, but doubt it on the road

That's pretty much what Chris Harris says at the end of the video, too.I owned them back to back, a week apart

Indeed marginal differences on the road, but the only thing I appreciate is that the Normal setting on a 650 has less float and crashes over bumps less.
In any case both cars are limited by front end grip when on the go, even on the road (I sometimes can’t resist the urge to find the limit on a quiet roundabout….). Spacers made a big difference for me.
But I think more relevant to this thread is the larger changes from the 650 to the 675, especially the weight savings. If I didn’t already have a 650 and an Atom, a 675 would certainly have been my keeper.
