Red 570 Spider at GVE?
Discussion
Just been reduced, they say it’s an Import in description but basic history checks haven’t picked this up ?

I assume you mean this car https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202204144...
I don't have any specific info, it caught my eye as the first Spider in five figures I've seen for a while, and low mileage & nice spec too.
At the end of the description it states "This is an imported vehicle"; if I was buying it'd be interesting to know imported from where, and what service / ownership history was available. I don't know if being an import affects insurance at this end of the market. I assume it's come in from the Gulf somewhere.
GVE seem to have a 'mixed' reputation online.
If interested, I would be arranging to get it to McLaren London or another franchised dealer for a pre-warranty inspection, I think it's <£500 and would put you in a more confident position to buy (whether or not you then took out the McWarranty).

Could be imported from one of the UK or Mediterranean islands where right hand drive cars are used, meaning 5k miles is not unreasonable. Definitely not Middle East as it would have to be left hand drive to be registered there. Otherwise Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia etc. but why did it come back? So I suspect one of my earlier possibilities.

This is GVE , who are well known for selling Malaysian/Singapore cars.
Thing is a McLaren costs over S$1M, around 3-4 times the UK price. So someone will have paid a stload of tax and taken a massive loss in a v short time. Not sure about Malaysia.BUT nothing wrong with a Singapore car, will have been pampered (apart from the odd dash into the badlands of Johor for some speeding tickets).
