Morning all.

Just a line to say I tried Dan at XP 1 Technical for servicing on my 2017 720S.

With the mods done to mine, it's not going to be able to have an extended warranty so decided to use Dan for servicing due to his lengthy experience working for and with McLaren for a lot of years.
Still in it's infancy stage, XP 1 did a great job and very impressed with the price and knowledge. As well as the service, he gave the car a good check over and reported a clean bill of health along with some watch outs for the next 12 months.
Refreshing customer service from a chap that is clearly an ambassador for the brand.

So if you are in Essex and need some assistance or servicing then Dan at XP 1 Technical near Chelmsford is highly recommended. He had a lovely 12C and a couple of other 720's in there when I collected mine yesterday so obviously others are aware of him.

Due to mine being tuned, I cant get a McWarranty thereby not tied into getting McService either. If I had kept the car stock then I would be looking to extend it but maybe with a V Engineering warranty.
Mine is a 2017 with 16500 miles on it. Havent had one issue except for a broken mirror adjuster switch. Hoping it stays that way too.

Dan at XP1 is very knowledgable and was also working on a full engine replacement on another car. So in the right hands just a gamble that each owner has to make I guess.

I had a Thorney mid-range tune on my 570S and it really did complete the car. I rate it as the best handling McLaren I've owned but it did feel under powered, the tune made all the difference, brought it nearer to 650 performance which was all it was lacking.

How much is the V Engineering warranty? Better than McWarranty / Thorney?

I can back this up. Dan at XP1 knows his stuff having worked for McLaren race teams and McLaren factory. 100% recommend Dan.

Would love to be able to tell you however, despite contacting them and giving them the information on my car, I was told that they would get back to me. 5 weeks and still no response.

I wasnt aware V Engineering do warranties, or Mclaren specific warranties.
