Methodology: We compiled a list of the largest and most popular car brands with global appeal. Then, we used each brand as the content of a query on Twitter using the SNScrape library to gather tweets mentioning each brand. We also used an AI sentiment analysis algorithm to determine each automaker's percentage of positive tweets to verify each country's most loved car brand.
The issues I see with this are:
1) Certain names of car brands are also the names of people and/or places. For example, Lincoln being the most popular car brand in Wales seems unlikely, as they're not even sold there. Ford, Jaguar and McLaren would be other examples. If you search twitter for 'Lincoln' or 'Ford', the top hits aren't talking about cars.

2) 'AI Sentiment analysis' isn't magic, I'm far from convinced that it'll accurately divine intent from short tweets across all the world's languages and cultures.

3) The results are titled 'most loved / hated car brand in every country', however it's really limited to the opinions of Twitter users in each country, which won't be representative of the population as a whole. It's likely to skew younger and more tech-savvy; hence presumably how 'popular' Tesla is.

So yeah, just because you can download a some free software and run some queries on twitter and summarise the results, doesn't automatically mean that you've answered the question you claim to have.

Why would you hate brands like Toyota or Honda?

Maybe it's not the brands people hate but the people they perceive as driving them?

If you're young/cool you wouldn't be seen dead in a Toyota/Honda - they're for old people.

Likewise if you're poor you might hate Ferrari because the cars are driven by flash rich bds.

If you hate Fiat it may be because you owned one. Had a Fiat Croma as a company car back in the day so can understand this!
