I currently have a 22 plate pdk gt4 which I’m considering changing for a 600lt. Have any owners on here made the transition?

I would also prefer a car with front end lift as the gt4 front splitter is 120mm off the floor on the flat, would some be able to confirm the fully lifted height of a 600tl with the carbon pack?

Thanks

Night and day as cars.

I jumped from a 981 GTS to a 600LT 3yrs ago.

Big jump.

600LT with lift on has an impressive approach angle, you won’t have issues unless you go off road.

I went from a 981 GT4 to a 570S. 100% recommend the switch.

Would you be able to measure its lowest point on the front when it’s in full lift?

Have you had any ground clearance issues?

It’s such a shame lift can’t be added to the gt4.

I had a 981 GT4 and have a 600LT currently. The McLaren is in another league from the GT4.

Oh and if you managed to get away with a GT4 ride height a 600LT with a lift should be more than enough clearance.

Did the exact same switch, the car is ballistic in comparison.

No issue with ground clearance at all whereas the GT4 seemed to scrape every other speed bump.

One is a supercar and the other is a mass produced sports car

The ride height is the reason i'm considering the change, I have a beautiful Shark Blue March 2022 GT4 with only 290 miles on the clock. Never had any problems with a 991.2 4S, this thing just feels super low on the front.

Looking at how my area is changing, I would prefer a car with lift moving forward.

I'm keen to know the full extended height of a LT600 when in full lift, would you kindly be able to measure?

I also went from a 981 GT4 to a 570S with track pack.

Ground clearance in the 570S no issue at all with lift.

After 3 years in the 570 I am now looking to get back into a GT4. Main reason being I was sick of the paint issues.

So interested in your GT4 - will you be selling privately? Can you send me the spec?

Are the paint issues in these really as bad on these Mclaren’s as the internet makes out?

When i bought my 570s last year, i had two front wings replaced under warranty (now covered for a further 3 years) and this year, had a rear arch repaired and both innner door skins done (i didnt even notice those it was so minor) also under warranty.

I guess the answer is yes its common, but, i have never once got in my car and been distracted from the driving experience because of some paint issues that have been repaired in no time.

Could be worse imho, you could be told by your local Porsche dealer that your new GT4 (already delayed) has got to have the engine taken out at the dealership, stripped and con rods replaced as a friend of mine was. Im not excusing Mclaren, its poor, but amazing to me what people will and wont "accept" as part of ownership.

I won't have access to my car for a week or two but can try this soon!

That would be perfect, no rush I’m off to Spain for a few weeks in a couple of days.

981 GT4 to 675LT (with a bit of a gap). 675LT has the same natural flow down a twisty road and nimbleness, but that's about where the similarities end. 675 sooo much quicker, and none of the stupidly long gearbox issues.
GT4 used to ground out on my driveway but 675 with lift has no problems.

For ref, 675 is quicker than 600, but not significantly.

Interesting, my gt4 is difficult to get out if my garage due to the very low front, oddly my 991.2 4s flys in and out. It never even crossed my mind when I ordered the GT4.

Mines a pdk gt4, haven’t had a issue with gearing.

With 600lt now sitting around 150k it could make sense. I never planned to part with the gt4 so quickly but looks like I may have to purely down to lack of lift.

So who’s bought the Romans Blue LT, enquired yesterday but apparently it’s sold.
