Cracked alloy wheel

Bit of an odd one but had the slightest of wheel scrapes in a garage. Sent to be replaced and advised there is now a crack and £2k to replace.

Are these wheels particularly sensitive or is this just terribly bad luck?

Also, assuming this means a wheel replacement, would anyone be able to advise where to get one from?!

I suggest you ask someone like Chris from Exeter Wheels what he thinks? He does all sorts of top-end work & comes to you & leaves the car at your house & takes the wheel away to be sorted - did they actually take the wheel off to repair it & did they show you/send you a picture of the crack?!

Thanks. It's in a lockup and the people who look after it were helping with the refurb. No reason not to trust them. Have looked on eBay and can get a set of 4 for about £1500 used but in good condition so that seems the better route to go
