Should I stay or should I go? My dream car, perfect colour combo' and perfect spec' with every single option ticked at the time when new with carbon everything front to rear in and out, even brakes, seats, sills, arches, engine bay, everything (£235k car). Even still under McLaren warranty and needs nothing as phasers, gearbox etc done. Thing is I'm no driving God nor Track day fiend and so can never extract the potential from the car, ever. With my advancing years I'm now a polishing poseur and just love to sit in the thing, though regular use but there's my problem. That much sat in the garage to sit in and polish? Is that enough? Some days yes, it is, to walk in and see it there, mine. Other days? Not sure, retirement looms, aching knees etc and how many guitars could I buy with the money! music My real passion. Anyway, hoping for some honest guidance. st, feels like marriage guidance or AA (drink) hehe Try and be kind, even talk sense into me a silly old sod.

It's a pressure drop.

Just make sure you are in complete control.

I have similar thoughts many times. What I try to remind myself is that it's not money spent (well some of it is) but money moved. Most of it will come back. Will you regret having owned one of the last great supercars in twenty years when you can no longer buy such a thing? I doubt it. You'll be sitting there playing your guitars, and smiling.

I think that will sum up 99.9% of us on here, but you dont have to either to enjoy 90% of its potential smile

Still use it.

Then keep it.

Collect milk from a shop 30miles away

Run out of milk every week.

Won’t you stay - just a little bit longer - Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs were the original I think.

I look forward to my spirited drives to weekend sports mornings the whole week. What could I change to? I already have a monster EV daily driver, an Atom and a V12 manual.

A 675 is just too similar (and the Atom is more fun anyway), the 720 has those cheap-looking Asian-graphics LCDs, Italians are too unsettled and have terrible visibility to really drive on normal roads, while the Germans are too common.

So I think I will - just Stay.

Hey, thanks for kind comments, and I do drive 30 miles for milk (beer) hehe The thought of selling just occurred coming back from McBrum caffiene/machine thing following endless lines of traffic but even then it's a great place to sit. I had a feeling of guilt as when I was driving around in my supercar, my other half was still working as hairdresser with hands full of pain and it didn't sit right with me. As I said, silly old sod. I should maybe tell her to get another job smile

I've had similar thoughts with mine, certainly during COVID times, but think I just need to use it more. Still love it and know I'd regret selling it if I did let the 'what if' thoughts get the better of me.

Well, have you already got a Les Paul? (heart attack machine). If so I suggest that you keep the car and 'laugh your life, cause there ain't much to cry for.' JS, RIP.
