Best place to source oem carbon pieces?
Discussion
Hi All,
I am was hoping to upgrade the exterior of my 675LT with some CF bits, specifically:
- CF Louvred Fenders (the most important)
- Mirror Covers
- Side Blades
- Rear Wing
The prices from McLaren are crazy, it's just shocking. I could buy a nice used car for the price.
I was then really hoping to be able to find some ok bits front fenders with cf louvres on ebay etc but no joy.
Anyway, unless I can find someone knows where these oem parts can be sourced much cheaper, I am ok with forgetting about the carbon upgrades.
Thanks

Genuine LT parts prices are pretty insane, there are Far Eastern copies available, but I’m sure you wouldn’t ruin your 675 with non OE bits, maybe a decent type of carbon fibre wrap could be applied? Obviously not for the fender vents though
I must say it's nuts. Even £10k for fenders... maybe but these numbers are crazy.Curledge said:
Thats why 675LT prices are so spec sensitive with a huge price difference between high spec and basic car.
TBH on a black car the carbon is a bit lost as there is not the same contrast to a bright colour.
Zero point spending £30k trying to upgrade it retrospectively IMHO
I fully agree. Not worth it at allTBH on a black car the carbon is a bit lost as there is not the same contrast to a bright colour.

You will need to join private owner LT specific W APP/ facebook groups etc, and may get lucky with upgrades / used parts.
I recently bought a US spec Mclaren race exhaust this way (600LT) from someone on a LT owners group.
Also imported a specialist exhaust from the U.S for an aventador (again only found via a U.S specialist marque forum)
Supercar owners in the U.S customize their cars much more than we do.
Forget ebay, Time and effort put in the correct forums, will hopefully yield results...however anything 675 related is big $$$$!!

Try McLaren Bits, a lot on the forums use them.
They can get genuine parts as well as replica.
None OEM will never fit as well obviously, most likely require a lot of work.

I had new louvred wings fitted last year but as of a few months ago the prices have gone up considerably.
The louvred wings are now £16,500 + VAT so no change from £20k once fitted, sprayed, PPF'd.
This is why there is a big price difference in spec on these cars. Owners keep trying to explain to people who don't understand why one car is £200k and another £280k but this is why.
Fitting non McL parts will probably devalue your car. Its a great looking car, do a few little bits but I would not fiddle too much, its a unique colour and looks fab. If you want a leather colour change that is not massively expensive. Wheels can be picked up or colour changed quite economically.
I would drive the car for a while and get used to it, its amazing how quickly things you may not like you will get used to quickly.

A few routes that you can go down.
This crowd have most of the bits you have enquired about:
However, there is another crowd that is currently breaking a 675LT that have the louvered wings, carbon side blades and also the carbon mirrors; all genuine McLaren carbon parts with the wings requiring to be painted.
If you go onto Ebay, type the number 324455316947 into the search bar; it shall list the car being dismantled.
That listing is for a complete front end, but they shall sell items separately such as each louvered wing £4995 etc; tell them what bits you need and they shall give you a price for them.
As Bispal mentioned, this is the reason of the delta for heavy spec'd 675's; the previous and first owner of mines went crazy on the carbon options, going as far as the scuttle panel and wheel arch liners.
I have to say, I love the louvered wings on mines; definitely worth pursuing.

Thank you so much. The ebay listing has already sold 1 of the fenders sadly. This crowd have most of the bits you have enquired about:
