Took in the 570S and picked this up today.
I normally buy new but was looking at a 6 month wait and wanted something for this summer. This had 1400 miles on it and it's loaded with a ton of extras, blue is my favourite colour too so it seemed too good to pass on.
Plus I got it for 73k less than the guy who bought it new 5 months ago.
It's usually me losing all that money.
Here's the old and the new together.

Thanks guys.
Paris Blue. The dealership actually thought it was Vega Blue, like my 570S, but on looking it up on the database it came back as Paris which is subtlety different but very striking. I suspect if they'd known it was an MSO colour the car might have been a little more expensive but I'd already put down the deposit by then.
Yeah I had a Coupe before when they first came out.
The least said about that car the better frankly

Very nice. The old one, Vega Blue? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts between the two and if the difference is as much as I'd expect between sports and super series.
Apologies for boring the assembled but I've got nothing to do anyway so I'll take a crack at this. They both have their Pros and Cons.
I started with a Super, the 650S, which at the time seemed impossibly good (I'd had both Lambo and Ferrari before and the McLaren felt a whole generation better to me at the time), then I got the 720S Coupe - which was a complete dog - then the 570S, and now this 720S Spider.
If I'm being deathbed honest I'd say the 570S is probably the most fun car I've owned but there are a some caveats.
Firstly, I live in Essex, where there is a speed camera every 73 feet, which means a more engaging car will triumph over a purely quicker car.
Secondly, I can't drive to save my life, so any talk of oversteer, turn in, torque, turbo lag or Jeremy Clarkson is lost on me, I'm just not knowledgeable enough to make sense of it.
The 650S was a revelation, massively quick and razor sharp on a twisty road. I took a 458 for a weekend test drive at the same time and found it very underwhelming, superbly precise steering but otherwise a mile behind the 650S.
Then the 720S arrived and was the GODCAR!!!.
I bought one, it wasn't.
Of course mine was a dog that should have been scrapped at birth and that dealership will never get a penny of my money again until they bury my ashes in the cold cold ground, but I know others had a better experience.
Aside from that though.
The Supers are breathtakingly fast, stunningly capable, magically planted and will make you feel like Rod Stewart or (insert appropriate age group celebrity) on a yatch.
The 720S will pull until you black out. The punch in the gut acceleration and feeling of being in a parallel universe will never get old.
But even after all that my 570S really was just more fun!
It needs to be at 4k revs before it gets interesting, unlike the Supers - which will just pull from a number one crop right up to a full Robert Plant hair down the back job without breaking sweat - the Sport series needs to work.
Blasting down those twisty country roads constantly banging up and down through the box is mesmerising. The Super will do it quicker and more clinically but in the 570 your blood flow will be nearer the speedo. That Super series trick suspension is a technical marvel but the 570's direct handling will wake you in a cold sweat at 3 in the morning.
It is a better driving experience.
It is climbing a tree compared to taking the lift.
My 570 was tuned by Thorney, it was a world of fun, a fecking animal. I've bought the 720 because I want the Daddy, I'm getting old and I want the most power I can buy before the government cut off my balls, which won't be long now, but the most fun I have had is in the Sport series.
There, I said it.
But keep in mind I really don't have much of a clue about driving, never done a track day, never timed a lap, never did left foot braking.
Can only listen to my heart beat.

Congrats on a lovely car and dont want to piss on your chips but Christ you did well if you secured it for £73k less than it sold for last year as I missed out on it when New Forest sold it for £235k.
I'm sure you haven't stole it for £162k in todays market but well done if you have
The car was bought from Bristol at 308, guy emigrated, returned it to Bristol who sold it to me for 235.I'm sure you haven't stole it for £162k in todays market but well done if you have
Other than that I have no idea what you are talking about.
If you know better, congratulations.

Must be 2 Paris Blue with exact same spec then, because New Forest were selling a Paris Blue and a Glacier White one at time for a stupid discount as stock cars Other than that I have no idea what you are talking about.
If you know better, congratulations.
Maybe this was a sold order that arrived at full list price at the same time and if so its a big coincidence and poor 1st owner paid way over the odds.
Anyway none of that matters if you are happy with it and still a reasonable deal for a 1 Yr old car

It's a 5 month old car, there's a clever trick to determining that, it's called the registration document.
You seem to be a complete cock.
Stunning 720 spider, hope it is far better to you than your coupe was and you have many glorious miles ahead. You seem to be a complete cock.
And of course he is, do you expect any less from rambo?
