Dripping with exterior carbon, low mileage and all the right other options it seems (sports exhaust, lift, interior carbon, B&W, etc.) but no McLaren warranty and one of the first few off the production line (registered in March 2016) so not sure if these are more plagued with niggling type issues?

Low mileage does not automatically equate to a positive, even more so with Macs.
They benefit from being driven so do your due diligence/arrange a PPI.
I’m surprise this gets posted so often on PH and I have to disagree with this mumbo jumbo. They benefit from being driven so do your due diligence/arrange a PPI.
For your statement to be true, you are saying the majority of Mclaren cars are produced substandard out of the factory and require a significant amount of mileage to identify problems to be fixed.
This simply is not the case. Internet forums always amplify the negative examples but they are not the norm. The reality is the vast majority of cars are built without problems when used.
Also for your statement to be true, a financial premium would exist on higher mileage cars and again this is simply not the case.
Higher mileage and higher number of owners is always an issue when you come to resell.

i tried to buy an Audi R8 from that actual dealer, wouldn't change discs (MOT advisory) and were a st show from start to finish

Personally I’d buy directly from McLaren, it includes 12 months McLaren warranty, that will cost you (IIRC) around £4500 with the inspection if you buy from an independent. The extended warranty increases in price from 5 years onwards, and if it needs any work doing on the inspection for the warranty, this must be done my before they will apply the warranty. There is quite a few cars for sale from McLaren for under £100k.

JCT say no more. I would rather poke needles in my eyes than give them any money. Sadly they are all over the shop round here. Safe to say their warranty isn't worth the paper its written on, in that case?
The only warranty worth it on a McLaren is either McLaren extended warranty or Thorney Motorsport. Thorney is cheaper but has a claim limit of £10k, which is enough to cover most things, extended McLaren has no limit but it’s more expensive and requires a McLaren inspection unless you buy the car from them. Both are good options. I wouldn’t buy from an independent without a Thorney or McLaren inspection first.Crazy4557 said:
Rare car this as it’s got the electrically folding tow bar, ideal for a bit of caravan touring with the family
Just the thing for an attempt at the 'world's fastest caravan tow' record https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records... - I feel 142 mph is eminently achievable with 570hp ?samoht said:

I really don't know if it would reach 142mph but I'd love to watch someone else try. Gassing Station | McLaren | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
