Brilliant, congrats.
Is it as good as you hoped?
It's in great condition and so far everything works. I've only driven it once - apart from a quick pootle to visit another of my cars - so it's a bit early to say whether it ticks all the boxes. It's certainly much more of an occasion than the i8 Roadster it replaced. Is it as good as you hoped?

...and a photo with both doors open?
Congratulations BTW, looks stunning especially the light interior.
In the garage? Not happening. But there is more than enough room for the driver's door - in fact it needs less space than the i8; I had to get that right up against the LH wall with the mirror folded to be sure of not hitting the other wall with driver's door. This you can "just" drive in - slowly and carefully, since there's about 2cm either side of the mirrors through the entrance. I think the i8 doors are technically butterfly rather than dihedral, because they are much shallower but need more space to open.Congratulations BTW, looks stunning especially the light interior.

Love it and well done for bucking the "it's got to be alcantara" trend. Unless you're tracking it all the time, leather is a great option.
Can I be the first to say...it isn't going to fit in your garage!

The evidence is against you on this one...

I take it back. But getting out of the car? That must have taken some careful measuring. Don't think I could get out of that!
Actually it's completely fine. The door opens fully with about 10cm of clearance at its widest point in the arc; the perspective makes the garage look narrower than it actually is.I will admit that the very first thing we did when the car was delivered for the test drive on Monday was check that it would go up the dropped kerb and into the garage. Despite knowing that I could get the i8 in there, and open the door, I was concerned. The 720s looks bigger than the i8, but is in fact smaller in every dimension and needs less space to open the door.
I should add that the car that is *really* a pain to fit in the garage is the GT3RS. It's a left hooker, so I reverse in. My dropped kerb meets the road with a nasty camber, and the car is lowered (Manthey KW3), so I have to go up at an angle across the whole width of the hard standing, relying on chassis stiffness to pick the RH front wheel up off the ground to stop the splitter grounding out, then edge my way round and ease into the garage looking out for a rear wing/wheel rack interaction. Of course the wing and cage mean you can't really see anything out the back, and it doesn't have a camera, so it's mirrors and blind faith.
So frankly by contrast the McLaren just glides in...
