Does anyone know the maximum clearance required fully to open a 720s door? I'm minded to replace my i8 Spider with a 720, but need to know that I'll be able to get in and out in my absurdly narrow single garage. I can open the BMW's (similar, dihedral) door with a couple of inches of clearance, provided I park close to the LH wall. The McLaren lists as having an almost identical width, so I think it comes down to the height and angle of the door.

So 440mm - which is *less* than the i8. Excellent.

Mine fits in a garage that is 2610mm wide. I can just about get the doors open enough to get in/out when the car is positioned in there if that helps?!

Carpet on the wall adds a bit of extra safety for those "parked too far over" moments as well ...!

I use a tennis ball hanging from the ceiling on a piece of string. I've got it set up so that when I'm in exactly the right position the nearside wing mirror just touches the ball. Admittedly not my idea - but it works perfectly every time. My door clears by about 50mm as it opens and I've never once failed using this method.

Dealer's bringing the car over on Monday for me to look at; will confirm it fits then, but from what I can tell if the i8 goes in, it will too.
