I struggle to understand how owners of such a car think of selling it through collectingcars.
It’s not a classic, not a collectors car yet. To me there it attracts only wrong people, looking for a bargain.
If you really want a 765LT, you go through dealers or indie/specialists.
There are plenty of cars that have sold on CC that I definitely wouldn’t describe as a bargain. Plenty of modern performance cars have sold for very good money. It’s not a classic, not a collectors car yet. To me there it attracts only wrong people, looking for a bargain.

Would I buy a 765 LT on CC or a car like it ? No. A lot of serious buyer will though.

Can not for the life of me understand why anyone would use an outfit like CC to buy a car.
Zero consumer protection and zero chance of getting your £6,000 back off them if purchase falls through.
boredom combined with having drinks comes to mind.Zero consumer protection and zero chance of getting your £6,000 back off them if purchase falls through.
also, on occasion cars that are not easily bought somewhere else [I bought a car that only exists in that exact spec once, so no other option to purchase].
pretty pictures do help. their descriptions are often not great imo, much copy and paste of bla bla with a little detail thrown in [in fairness only so many ways you can describe a car, especially one you have never seen in person].

Not surprised then that it didn’t sell. The cheapest one on Autotrader is £355k. I didn’t realise that they were commanding such a premium Auctions are the only really public reliable indicator of a market.

The information is public but whether it is alway reliable is open to question. very small % but it does happen. I can think of several instances where cars have “sold” and then not sold. Not going into specifics as that will get this thread locked/deleted.Auctions are the only really public reliable indicator of a market.
