Hi everyone, this 12C looks interesting. I like the spec albeit would prefer carbon fibre inside. It's been inspected by Thorny and they are happy to warranty without restriction which I take to be a good sign. Anyone know the car or thoughts?

Surely these are close to bottom in price?!

What’s the availability of parts like?
Looks a decent price.

Parts are available directly from McLaren as they have always been.

Thorney stated yesterday that he can get parts also.

If it's inspected by Thorney it's a rock solid car, probably the best endorsement you can get.

However when I click on the link the photos aren't appearing so is that me or has the ad been pulled?

I have found a lot of dealers are unhelpful when you mention a Thorney inspection

Looks fantastic but the only thing that put me off was that this car was shown as sold a couple of months ago and then suddenly popped up for sale again! Perhaps it had an issue so worth investigating further?

Apparently it was sold earlier this year and the person is selling to release capital to grow his business. Since then the rear lights have been replaced and some other things at a cost of £4k apparently.

Thorney say it's mechanically sound however there is some rust in front wing and around bonnet. Do Mclaren cover that for up to 10 years or only 5? Could also see a warning light for faulty tracking system whicb I think it expensive to fix

Just sold to someone else. Re the rust on the front wing and boot, I spoke with Mclaren and unlikely to be covered. That alongside the failed tracker meant it wasn't probably the good deal it seemed to be anyway (making myself feel better here!)
