Potential 600LT
Discussion
Hi all. I have owned a few Porsche, aston and ferraris. I have never really fancied a Maclaren until the 600LT came along. It is such a stunning looking car that I’m tempted to buy one.
I don’t tend to do much mileage in my supercars; perhaps 2-3000 a year. It will always be garaged. I have other cars so it doesn’t require any practicality.
From those who own a 600LT, have they had many issues with them? Even if under warranty, I don’t really want to have it regularly going back and forth to the dealership!
Maclaren seems to have a pretty poor reputation so Ive decided I want a warranty on it. The cars I’m looking at are 2 or 3 years old. I’m guessing they have a 3 yr manufacturers warranty. What does an extension cost? Does the extended warranty exclude much?
Anything else I should know or think about would be welcome.

Apart several issues with door switch getting wet (covered under warranty), nothing major to report.
And we all love the car, majority wouldn’t replace with anything else, apart from 765LT.
Just make sure you have service history and any history on repairs and warranty claim. Check the car as you would do with other high end supercars you have.
Happy hunt.
