720s outdoor car cover
Discussion
Hi all,
Got my 720s coupe beginning of this month and so far loving it.
One thing I do want is an outdoor cover. There are various companies advertising covers but they look to me like universal covers in a number of sized of which one fits the 720s. What I would really like is a properly tailored fitted outdoor cover.
Has anyone purchased one and have a recommendation?
Many thanks,
Michael

coming more from classic cars, but the general view is that they are more trouble than they are worth. Even the ones with superset fleece inside and fully breathable will be moved by the wind, so scuffing grit over the paintwork. It may be better with PPF. Most have a nasty habit of trapping in moisture too especially if the car is put away wet. Is it stored on the street or on a drive - can you rig a carport or similar to keep most of the vertical elements off but allow airflow the rest of the time?

I have a McLaren indoor cover which I placed over my 720 with a Halfords all season waterproof cover over the top.
Stored car like this for a month or so while garage was being refurbished.
No issues whatsoever and all fitted well

Yep, literally did the same - just make sure to secure the clips under the Halford's all season - otherwise they fly around in windy conditions.Stored car like this for a month or so while garage was being refurbished.

I bought one of these for my 650s and its superb. Its such a close, bespoke fit and comes with several straps (tho only used once in a gale just in case). Multi layer, soft inside, breathable, highly recommend as I have no garage

I've kept my car outside under a cover but you have to wash the car before you put any cover on it regardless of whether it's a soft indoor or normal outdoor.
That's a right pain after a few washes and I gave up in the end, not had any issues with leaving it outside uncovered. You might be precious to start with but it soon wears off when washing it all the time. But there again washing your supercar might be your thing so don't listen to me if it is.
