Hadn't seen this one before. The accompanying video is also interesting to listen to.

cool The long term videos are cool too as the tester really didn't want to see it go at the end.

Great video linked in that article, thanks for posting!

I have to say that I have been a bit 'meh' about the 12C after reading the reviews at the time about the lifeless steering, but it's interesting that HC says in the video that it comes alive once you're nearer the edge.

It's not like I'll ever be able to afford one, of course, lol.

As long as you don’t need to be on the edge or a rather scary looking cliff hehe

That 12C seems to have disappeared. Not taxed since January 2014 or ever MOT'd.
Does t reside in a museum somewhere, I seem to remember one displayed at Gaydon but not sure it was this example.

In think some journos are better than others. I'm no Clarkson fan but even he said this; "No car in the world has better steering. It’s very light, which suggests there’s no feel. But in fact there is so much that when you run over a wasp, you can tell whether it was a male or a female. This means you can feel the precise moment when grip is about to be lost".
It was also quicker than an 'Enzo' by some margin and even the Veyron at the time iirc. driving

Indeed the point about the steering can be extended to all Macs. It’s not just the feel, but also the ratio which makes the car stable and precise in fast corners. The Italian go for a faster rack to make their cars feel less ponderous.

It’s also a great test of the calibre of road testers. If they don’t mention anything about a Mac’s steering, then I know they know nothing about performance driving.
