Hi Folks,

I’m looking at the 12c at SMC, does anyone on here know the history of the car (previous owner etc)? It looks pretty straight but it’s always good to get the back story.

Thanks

Andy

Come on, it’s not a difficult search.

It's also not difficult for an OP to put a link to the vehicle in the initial post either...

Looks well in the pics. Got Iris 2, looks to be swipe doors (so probably a sub 675 serial no ?.). No mention of the '13 model year upgrades ?. Personally, I think steel brakes are a plus point. Pzero's have probably been replaced at least once to get to the mileage - but what's the manufacture date on them ?. Ask specifically about any gearbox "history" - this is the generation that sometimes had problems. Cant see either of the lower front aero deflectors - but it's only a £90 fix so not a biggie (provided the bumper & undertray is OK). Why's the emergency door release unbuttoned ?. (I ask because if it's due to a flat battery then things can get expensive.)

Don't know the car - but not seen anything in the 'ad that would be making me walk away. Good luck !

That aligns pretty well with what I picked up on when I viewed it. Aero deflectors are indeed broken off, everything else looks ok except paint which is not wearing the miles particularly well (wish somone had PPF’d it from new). Didn’t think to ask about the door release 🤦‍♂️

The Caparos are junk. Abused prototypes. Fit for a museum not the track and definitely not the road.
