Looking for a Iris II headunit
Discussion
So, my MP4-12C have the Iris II and touchscreen is not sensitive on all of the complete area.
So, options are, getting a brand new unit on the insurance policy. But insurance cost might rise next period due to the excessive cost. Horror stories can be found that a new unit cost 10K USD.
Getting a second hand unit on Ebay or elsewhere..
What policy does ML have when swapping out units? Does the old unit goes back to Woking or is it the car owners property.
The issue with expensive parts should be sorted out with refurbished units.
Anyone with a Iris II unit laying around are welcome to send a PM. Only need the approx 50€ touchscreen item.

If Parrot would release a service manual and partlist, a screen would probably be approx 50 €.
If there is no alternative but replacing the iris II with a new one, I think it is a stupid decision by the manufacturer.
Car is great, but the policy for repair Iris is nonexistent.
A happy customer is any vendors best asset.

There is one on eBay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174148509738
Have you tried talking to one on of non franchised phone repairers in your area, they might be able to help ?
We had a fault with the touchscreens in our specialised fleet and it turned out to be a spacer that has partially failed in one corner of the screen, might be something that once the cause is identified the particular part can be sourced and replaced as it may be used in other systems

Iris II.
Seems that the touchscreen is the issue. Works on some parts, but not over the fully screen.
My feeling is that Parrot has used a standard screen, but they will not reveal which oem they order it from.
So, with some old contacts in the industri I am wiling to make a effort sourcing the correct part from the oem. Also talked to a company that makes small series of screens.
So, anyone with a defective iris II touchscreen that I can lend or buy?
Need the piece to get size, pinout and other variables.
Really hate to get a new from McLaren @ 14k USD.
