Has anyone experienced this?

Did u get them replaced under the 10 yr corrosion warranty?

Mine are very slightly starting to bubble where the air brake panel meets the strut.

My guess is the warranty won't pay for it. I know people have had things like exhaust tips refused, and I think this will come under the same exclusion ('trim').

Exhaust tips I get is not covered with all the heat and fumes that come out. But painted metal part akin to bodywork panel should be. Will call Mclaren tomorrow and let everyone know

Just so I can provide an update for anyone else that may come across this thread.

Mclaren said to come in and they will take pictures and send to Head Office.

It seems a case by case basis

If they are sending to head office, then they're basically asking for a goodwill gesture from McLaren. If it was covered under the normal bodywork corrosion warranty they wouldn't need to do that.

That's just your dealer passing the buck. Happened on my12C 4 years ago. Went to Flewitt Junior who said no. TBF its a very easy job to rub down and spray its just mild steel like the wiper arm. If they say yes you will have done very well! But then you will wait 3 months for the job to be done where a local body shop or even a smart repair could have done it in days for £100. Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will get a smart repair. They have the paint to match. Cheers
