HI all

I am on the brink of buying my first Mclaren (570s) but need some help before i push the button on this.

I live in North Essex and have a steep drive on the front of my house.
My GT3 has lift on it and gets up it fine but i don't know if a 570S would ?.
So are there any of you living in North Essex that would be able to drop by my house and try.
I will pay for you fuel. I know this is a lot to ask but i don't know how else to solve this one.

Many Thanks

My 540 had a lift but occaisionally I forgot to use it and it was fine crossing onto our drive which was steep but short from a heavily cambered road. Sorry I can't help with the other part. As an aside I think you will find most if not all 570's will have lifts?

I installed speed ramps on mine to lift over a grounding line between footpath and steep drive. Bought off ebay here:-

Worked perfectly as it lifts the front wheels up and raises the whole car for long enough to get over the crest. Looks slightly odd having a speed ramp on a short driveway but it works. I used 2 rows of them but one may suffice.

The approach angle for the 570S is 8.3 degrees with lift down and 10.4 degrees with lift up. A spirit or digital level with angle measurement will give you a reading for your driveway. Good luck.

If a dealer thinks you’re serious, surely they’ll do this?
I’ve had cars brought in to check that they fit.

I would think a GT3 is a lot lower than a 570S so you should be fine

If GT3 with lift is ok then as long as the 570S has lift you’ll be fine.

The only way to tell is with an actual car.
