Purple 12c spider at TH jnr
Discussion
Morning all,
Any info on the 12c Spider at TH jnr? Seems to have all the options ticked for me and more so wondering why it has been for sale since November ish (if you go by their youtube video upload date). Is it the colour that would put most buyers off? I know its been on tracked thanks to a PH'ers comment in another purchase thread but that wouldn't put me off.
Any thoughts welcome
Phil

Nope. Confirms poor service. What a funny post?
If he was seriously interested he’d have rang up and enquired about the car AND why they hadn’t replied to his email , there’s a good possibility it went straight into the junk file , these things do happen. It certainly wouldn’t put me off if I was interested in buying that particular car.

I agree. Could be many legitimate reasons why an email enquiry wasn't responded too - feels a little like cutting your nose off to spite your own face.It certainly wouldn’t put me off if I was interested in buying that particular car.
Surely giving them a call and an opportunity to explain is worth it to potentially buy a car of your dreams?

It would irk me a little but hey back to cars for a moment ... I will head oop north at some point soon and go see it and report back! Good to know so far no horror stories about it. Must be a fairly unique car in that spec.
Oh and if any MOC users can post a WTB 12C spider or know anyone looking to part with theirs this year please let me know. I'm not in a massive hurry (until i see the first one and immediately buy of course ...)

I keep looking at that car but the reviews for the dealer are not great and one I would guess is possibly about that car?
"Worst experience ever. Wanted to commit to purchasing the car but the dealer demanded and £8000 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. Not prepared to put a non refundable deposit I got finance company to contact to advise all was good and also Thorney Motorsports to book an inspection. Still the dealer would not commit. Friday 4 days before inspection advised car sold !!. This was despiet trying to get a commitment. Warning I negotiated to £80k BECAUSE McLaren Inspection said Tyres out of date!!! Buyer beware they wont tell you. underbody veins damaged and not replaced. they were aware but did nothing AND I ONLY FOUND BY READING PAPERWORK .Warranty company From my personal experience not worth paper written hence Thorney Inspection. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD . I WOULD ONLY RECCOMEND AVAOIDING."

Little bit melodramatic. All that stuff usual wear and tear. Its a lovely motor one of the nicest 12c for me. Maybe too purple but i love
And I'd not lose an example like that for the sake of £5k if its good one according to Thorney. Just read £8k deposit. I'd be fine with this too and would just say well its refundable chum don't be a cowboy (politely).

Seems the potential buyer is miffed because the car was sold before he could have an inspection and they're reacting to that - it's not suggesting that the seller was dodgy but maybe doesn't like their selling techniques as they lost out. It also suggests someone else arranged an inspection before them/or didn't have one so one person's caution is another person's opportunity?"Worst experience ever. The way the review is written wouldn't necessarily put me off engaging them to buy a car although I’d do my own due diligence etc.
