Every comment I've ever seen about run flats (mostly BMW) are how hard they make the ride.

I wouldn't want them on mine.

I tend to agree. We run BMWs which always have them but usually just replace like for like on those.

Cannot comment re Macs but I bought a recent used Ferrari 599 fitted with run flats and changed them pretty well immediately as the ride was terrible.

All the pleasure of driving the McLaren will be removed with runflats.

The MPS4S is a cracking tyre and 10 leagues above the Pirelli let alone run flats.

Just saw that RFs were an option on the MPS4S's and surprised me. Will be ordering standard.

Run flats have awful hard side walls.

Every car I have I take the spare wheel out and I have a tyre plugging kit and a foot pump. I fix my own punctures when I get one, it takes 10-15 mins you don't need a jack and you don't ruin your wheel and tyre with gunk. Its the same the AA would do if you called them out except you don't need to wait for 90 minutes. As soon as you can go and get a proper patch repair or new tyre. Been invaluable on euro trips in my McLaren's and other cars and also works on my Vespa and wheelbarrow.

Do you have a specific kit you use? This is something I looked at previously but I can't find the info I 'safely' tucked away.

This is the one I have, works great. Remember to get a foot pump too and just leave in the boot.
