Newbie 570GT owner
Discussion
After ten years of impeccable Porsche ownership, fancied something different. A 991 GT3 would have been a natural progression for me but I just couldnt get the 570 out of my mind being incredible value. Had all the horror stories when I bought my 997 and that car never missed a beat in 5 years so I guess that gave me some confidence in making a balanced assesment. So took the plunge and Just picked my car up From thorney after its service and a few bits (very odd buying a car without seeing it lol ). Blown away - what a car - the doors, performance, steering, feel good factor.. Can even get My boy enzo in the back ! |https://thumbsnap.c

Absolutely lovely!
Quite fancy the GT version myself for a little more practicality. Please let us know how she rides and drives.
Lovely dog too!
The ride and drive is incredible. I read all the reviews but was a little bit gobsmacked to be honest . In normal mode in auto it’s an absolute pussycat even on crappy a roads but still extremely capable. Then you start fiddling up to sport and track on the right road and it’s mind blowing !Quite fancy the GT version myself for a little more practicality. Please let us know how she rides and drives.

Amazing thanks - hasn’t missed a beat so far and can’t stop driving it - even pull it out if I have to go to the post office lol ! Yes I think there were lots of people who wanted to view the car when the dealer reopened as it has a really strong spec so took the plunge on click and collect - never even sat in one so a bit nerve wracking ! Had Thorney do an inspection on it first - stupid that there engineer was able to visit abs spend half the day with the car but I couldn’t view 😕. Rules are rules though eh !?
That looks amazing, and love the interior, you've made a great choice. I am a recent convert too and like you find any reason to go for a drive. mines away being wrapped at the mo. Interesting to see you can get Enzo in the back, do you get the dog in from the seats or lift him into the back? My GT430 was great for taking the dog in so might need to look at 570GT to win the missus back round ;-)

I just lift him in from the back - he’s pretty laid back tbh lol. Had my covid jab yesterday at our local railway museum and spent 15 minutes taking questions about it and people having their photo taken in it - never had anything that gets so much positive attention lol
Seeing you mention having your Covid jab at a railway museum clued me in - it must have been you that I passed yesterday down that way, I remember seeing a 570 and thinking it looked stunning! That colour and interior combination is lovely, congratulations I was very nearly down there for my own jab (booked in for tomorrow as I wasn't sure I'd be available) so I feel like I've missed out!spikyone said:
