So what is TGE's problem with Mclaren?
Discussion
I've been subscribed to his Youtube channel for some time and enjoy a lot of his stuff. However, this anti-Mclaren crap he seems to spout at every given opportunity is really starting to grate me, it is coming across as personal, maybe he just didn't get his own way at some point (maybe wouldn't give him a car to review or similar) and has been sulking ever since?
For example, one of his latest videos, one of him collecting a new car, a nice 580-2 Huracan from Rybrook in Bristol, I was enjoying it up until he picks up on what I think is an orange 720 or a 765LT driving by and announces "oh look an orange turd driving by"
I know I shouldn't care and whenever he does it I make sure I give the video a dislike / thumbs down (I believe the ratio of likes to dislikes matters?) But after this latest childish remark, it had me wondering what the cause of all this Mclaren butthurt is about and figured someone on here may know the history?

Believe he had a rotten experience with a new 720S when they first came out...car had numerous faults and the service from Mclaren was pretty poor...obviously that was his side of things.
Oh ok, well that makes sense and makes it a little more understandable. Still, that must have been nearly 4 yrs ago! He just needs to wind it back a bit now. He more than most should know one bad experience doesn't define a brand and when you're following a channel of this nature any obvious bias, whether negative or positive, just kills any credibility. Credibility? What does that have to do with Youtubers?Been a subscriber since he got his 996 but I don't watch many of his videos aside from those and was thinking of unsubscribing. I do idly wonder how he finances his car lifestyle though (that's just jealousy). Seems a nice enough guy and I hadn't heard him going on about Mclaren, don't think it would bother me.

I have no clue who he is either. I assumed a Youtuber, which later comments confirmed - but I don't really use YouTube, and don't follow anybody on it so have no idea who he is
I do use YT, and I have no idea who he is either.Mind you, I don't watch 'influencers' in supercars, so presumably he's in that subset.
I watch some automotive videos on YouTube but had never heard of this one. Googled the YouTube and this is what I got.

Pretty sure he had one of the very first 720's............had some issues........then wanted to get rid of it and couldn't get a bid on it from any dealer and had to take a bath to off load it..............and has been crying about it ever since.
Sounds like a good reason be be upset if you ask me. I watched about 10 mins of one of his videos once....fair play to him if he's making a success of it but my takeaway was he's not really into the car as a car and looking at his list of videos there doesn't seem to be much about actually doing anything in his cars. All about buying and selling and tarting up.
Not my bag...but then I am sure I am not his target audience. Harry's Garage is much more my kind of content

I bought a brand new car from McLaren, issues identified at collection which they promised to fix and then ignored me.
Abhorrent company.
If I had his audience I would make them aware at every juncture I could. Good luck to him.
This is the problem that McLaren have to overcome.Abhorrent company.

I also have a horror story ...
I could be seriously interested in a 600LT, but do I trust them ?
And how much should it cost in depreciation if I was to send £125k ?
The running costs including extended warranty can be budgeted for ...
