Numbers look pretty good for just downpipes and a tune...

Amazing. May go for one of these soon and send to Iain. Funnily enough its more about making the car drivable but amazing that 720s has a forged engine and gearbox capable of dealing with approaching 900bhp out of the box. Just incredible. Have to confess a little nervous of the car.

saw a test on youtube between a few tuned mclarens and the stock ones were actually quicker as they could get the power down
the 765lt has a few bits and bobs to help it deal with the extra power
Getting the power down still an issue for 765 as proved by sport autos hot laps where their 720s time was faster than their 765 time !the 765lt has a few bits and bobs to help it deal with the extra power
720s already offers veyron level performance... suspect more power isn't gonna make it any better !

In the US tuners try to make sure you know you will die if one keeps stock tires and that they HAVE to put at least r888r. These seem to help quite a lot to put the power down. Has anyone tried 4s on a 720s?the 765lt has a few bits and bobs to help it deal with the extra power
DMS will come and remove the map before you take in the car for warranty work, which obviously comes as part of the parcel of owning a McLaren lol, mines been in plenty and they were unable to detect it had the map removed.
Had my previous 570s done and they are mega fun, not much difference between a DMS 570 and a standard 720 but it seemed more manageable due to the analogue suspension, I'm not a fan of the fancy stuff in the 720.

Impressive but I have asked on their Instagram and asked them again on Facebook if they provide any assurances or warranty on their work and have had no response.
I'm sure they used to warranty their work on GTRs (unless I am getting mixed up with DMS and the likes)
The social media team might not want to comment on anyhting like that. I'm sure they used to warranty their work on GTRs (unless I am getting mixed up with DMS and the likes)
I took some time out to search for some more contact details:

I'd be very very surprised if McLaren can't tell that the car has had a different map loaded before. I don't imagine they'd check if you took your car in for new accumulators, or failed IRIS etc. - but if your engine or gearbox went pop I'd be really surprised if they didn't check.Had my previous 570s done and they are mega fun, not much difference between a DMS 570 and a standard 720 but it seemed more manageable due to the analogue suspension, I'm not a fan of the fancy stuff in the 720.

The analogue suspension in the 570s is not going to make it more manageable, the opposite in fact. ARB's connect the wheels along an axle and on bumpy roads can result in lack of contact along that axle. The suspension on a Super Series does away with the ARB and therefore the wheels operate independently, improving the likelihood the wheels are in contact with the road and therefore how manageable the power would be. And it is very noticeable. Take a standard car down your favourite B road then take a 650/720 etc, you will most certainly notice how much more stable the car is and how much more comfortable you are at speed.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s1bTFNgcJ0

1/4 mile in 9.3
as a stock car that's faster than the chiron and must be the fastest in the world right now aside from perhaps the chiron supersport

I watched that last night, some very impressive figures! I think the 0-60 was 2.1 wasn't it, not 2.3?765lt 0-60 in 2.3 seconds
