The guy whom I bought my 650 spider from also at the time owned this 675 as the 650 spider was his daily.
Seemingly only one of 2 made in this colour; the other one went to a tech guy in San Francisco.
Thats what I was told anyway.
No idea if he still owned it when it has went all 'murky'.
Seem to remember it being advertised for sale around a year ago though.
Cracking spec; very special car.

There’s a post implying that there’s a dispute over a Ferrari involved and allegations of the McLaren being clocked.
The person on whose behalf the claim is being made seems to run a super car rental firm in the midlands, so I assume is the innocent party.
Can you explain in simpler terms? There’s a note on autotrader saying the car must not leave England bla bla.The person on whose behalf the claim is being made seems to run a super car rental firm in the midlands, so I assume is the innocent party.
It’s a stunning example!

The allegation seems to be that a dealer hugely overpaid for a Ferrari after misunderstanding which model they were buying and subsequently this car which was part of a later deal wasn’t released. It’s a stunning example!
One of the people claiming ownership was previously involved in the sale of a Lamborghini for cash which resulted in the buyer having the money confiscated by the police then being convicted of trying to blackmail the seller into still handing the car over.
There’s a thread running on the McLaren Owners and Enthusiasts FB Group. Someone has explained > “ Apparently’ the owner of the car sold a Ferrari GTO rep as the real mccoy to the dealer, they bought it at GTO money then found out it wasn’t. Now they have produced some kind of court order on one of the sellers other cars”

Not being a lawyer is that not a case of buyer beware or the dealer not doing due diligence and qualifying the purchase? Not sure of the legalities involved Smoothound said:

I don’t think so, a seller can’t sell you a fake and then say that you should have known better.I can see that the case can be argued when it’s business to business, but a seller misrepresenting goods isn’t considered fair game.

Yeah pretty much what I'd assumed but you would hope the dealer was slightly more switched on than that? I'd be dubious about buying anything from them in future knowing they had been duped like that!I can see that the case can be argued when it’s business to business, but a seller misrepresenting goods isn’t considered fair game.

Allegedly the Ferrari that was sold was a 2007 599, the GTO didn't start production until 2010.Hard to call but one would assume a performance car dealer of that calibre would know their stuff.

I think the buyers rent supercars out for weddings and the like, but I’m not sure.Hard to call but one would assume a performance car dealer of that calibre would know their stuff.
